Purple Line BRT- Mt Airy St / Capitol Heights Station Area Plan

Please review the latest draft Station Area Plan

As was mentioned in the email:

  • Since we streamlined and reorganized the plan, the first two chapters are the same in each plan. Please read it once and feel free to skip it in the other plan reviews.
  • Please review the plan with a focus on the recommended policies, improvements, and opportunities in Chapter 3 – Future of the Station Area
  • Please also provide feedback on the implementation strategies in Chapter 4 – Getting There. Please pay particular attention to the Project Partners in the implementation tables in as this plan has recommendations for various organizations besides the City of Saint Paul and CAAPB. It would also be helpful if you could confirm the suggested Timing in the table.

Instructions to review the materials and leave your feedback:

  • You can move between the chapters by using the drop down box next to the page numbers at the top or by the arrows under the page.
  • You can zoom in and out with the + and - buttons on the right hand side of the display.
  • Click anywhere on the document to leave a comment. You can also see what others have said about the draft materials.
  • The download button at the top of the display next to the page numbers will save a PDF file to your personal device.

If you have any questions or issues with the site, please contact Rita Trapp at HKGi at rita@hkgi.com or 651-402-8045.

Thank you for your time - your input is extremely valuable in this planning process!

*Please note that the plan has been evaluated for accessibility. For efficiency, the items identified in the accessibility evaluation will need to be addressed once edits are complete. (examples of areas that need to be addressed include logical reading order, color contrast, alternate text, and table heading/list issues)

To avoid repeating wealth building, maybe this is entrepreneurship?
Suggestion
Being nitpicky but don't love this photo. Seems like a patient filling out paperwork with her doctor and the bag in front is distracting.
Suggestion
* should mention that you are also addressing the concerns of current residents and business owners to mitigate negative impacts.
Suggestion
Maybe call out that this is part of the expanding METRO network link
Suggestion
Consider adding a line that quantifies benefits for people- positive impacts on ridership, businesses, connections to job centers, etc.
Suggestion
Consider color coating goals to distinguish them throughout the plan
Is another intention of the plan to also inform impacted communities? It seems like that was an outcome.
