Thompson Park Phase II Improvements: Architecture Program Review

Please review the two Draft Schemes for Dakota Lodge's Programming

Locus has prepared two alternatives for the layout of Dakota Lodge. Two high level variations on site landscaping/exterior connections are also illustrated. Both schemes are planned to be submitted for pricing on January 2nd. We will go over these at Thursday's meeting as well for additional context.

Take a look and let us know if you have preferences for certain schemes or features, if there are places you would like to see adjustments, and whether there are items you feel are missing and you'd like to see priced. If the Lodge is selected to move forward into Schematic Design, a preferred concept will be developed based on your feedback, so consider that these are still in process.

If doing gender specific rest rooms why do a common sink area? Is a outside wall best for restroom fixtures?

Seems like mechanical space may be insufficient in both plans.

Suggestion
Like the access from the classroom to the outside in this scheme.

Wondering if the teaching kitchen classroom is compatible with the use of the space as a general classroom/breakout space for corporate events. Would like to understand more how those work together. I'm leaning towards the layout of the kitchen/breakout in scheme B because of that....

Suggestion
Prefer this bathroom layout.

Suggestion
Okay, maybe they are separate on the plan below.

Ideally, a mother's room would not be the same space as a bathroom ...if I am reading this correctly, the adult changing room also has a sink and toilet? And this is the same space as the mother's room?
